Because of the large degrees of freedom in development, there are many news about
the vulnerability of Android applications. Actually, even for iOS there are many reports of
vulnerability in the OS itself. There are dangers that important data of mobile application
can be targeted by taking advantage of such vulnerability.
We, therefore, are taking 2 step measurers in order to reduce the risk to minimum level,
and provide a safe mobile application.
1. SQL Injection measures etc., to prevent intrusion from externally.
2. Protect data leakage even if intrusion from external sources occur,
such as by encrypting internal data.
This vulnerability measurer is actualized by original coding rules. To comply with the coding rules,
we conduct a checking by static response analysis in order to improve the quality.
For more important mobile applications, we continue to verify by conducting a vulnerability diagnosis at
our group company, VALTES Mobile Technology Co., Ltd.
Appropriate tests are essential to create a high quality mobile application.
At first, we develop a product based on original coding rules with measurers against
vulnerability in consideration.
Then, using the open source module, static response analysis is automatically executed.
Thereafter, unit test using originally developed Excel based tool, and an UI test of the actual unit
using open source module are executed automatically.
As a final stage, a testing specialist team apart from the development team will conduct a test as
a third party user so as to further improve the quality.
In order to develop a high quality mobile application efficiently,
we are conducting an automatic test using an open source CI tool Jenkins.
By using Jenkins, we can obtain the latest source codes periodically from Subversion
that manages source codes, and can automatically execute static response analysis,
unit test, and UI test.
If any problems are found, it will be reported to the developer immediately,
thus an efficient, safe, and high quality mobile application development is made possible.
